SEO for Moving Companies : Case Study
Blue Square Management has been working with a moving company for over two years. At the beginning, we started managing their Google AdWords campaign, where we went through their account and totally optimised everything. From keyword research, competitor analysis, creating new campaigns, new ad groups, split testing ads to creating re-marketing campaigns. Increasing their business by over 40%.
Their sole online marketing and advertising came from pay-per-click advertising.
In order to improve their online presence we recommended a SEO or Search Engine Optimisation campaign. Keyword research and competitor analysis was carried out. The website was then optimised further. I say further, because landing pages were already created for the AdWords campaigns, but additional optimisation was still required. Once the “on-page” SEO was completed, the “off-page” SEO, namely, backlinking, began.
In search engine optimization (SEO) a backlink is a hyperlink that links from a Web page, back to your own Web page or Web site. Also called an Inbound Link (IBL) these links are important in determining the popularity (or importance) of your Web site. These should come from “quality” and “authority” websites and NOT spammy sites!
As the moving company is a “local” business, their Google My Business listing was claimed and fully optimised. Ranking in Google Maps is a MUST for any business that works locally. However, there are a number of steps that need to be carried out. As you can see from the screen shot take from the SEO software we use to track our campaigns, the rankings for numerous office removals related keywords has steadily increased over time. You can also see that they are in Position 1 and 2 in Google.co.uk for many of these keywords.
