In class we look at successful examples as well as analyze what it takes to put together electronic press kits, podcasts and vlogs for YouTube. We review such concepts as B-roll, how to avoid talking head footage, and using links to build a network of like-minded people.

5/15 at 7PM – Making Webisodes 101 Workshop
When: Tuesday, May 15, 2012

Why: We want to help you improve your webisodes to make your YouTube channels more successful
How many episodes are needed to be considered a webisode? How often should one release a websode? What’s a good running time? How do I get it to go viral? What kind of camera should I use? This workshop will explore these topics and others to help you create better webisodes. Examples of successful webisodes are shown as well as a review of audience metrics, the importance of tagging and embedding, and “impressing through compressing.”
